SkillStore ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We collect the minimum data necessary to deliver our products and process payments.

2. Data We Collect

Purchase Data

When you make a purchase, our payment processor (Lemon Squeezy) collects your email address, payment information, and billing details. We receive your email and order details but never see or store your full payment card information.

License Activation Data

When you activate a license key, the SkillStore CLI sends a hashed machine identifier (derived from your hostname and username) and your machine hostname to our server. This is used solely to enforce the 3-device activation limit per license. The machine identifier is a one-way hash — we cannot reverse it to obtain your actual hostname or username.

Download Data

We track whether a license key has been used to download a package (timestamp of first download only). This is used for refund eligibility verification.

Website Analytics

Our website may collect standard analytics data such as page views, referral sources, and browser type through Vercel Analytics. This data is aggregated and does not identify individual users.

3. What We Do NOT Collect

  • ✗We do not collect or access your source code, project files, or any content processed by Claude Code.
  • ✗We do not track your usage of installed skill packages after download.
  • ✗We do not store your payment card details. Payment processing is handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy.
  • ✗We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. How We Use Your Data

  • •Email address — To deliver license keys, send purchase confirmations, and respond to support requests.
  • •Machine identifier — To enforce the 3-device activation limit and prevent unauthorized license sharing.
  • •Download timestamp — To determine refund eligibility per our refund policy.
  • •Order details — To process purchases, issue refunds, and maintain transaction records.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate SkillStore:

  • •Lemon Squeezy — Payment processing and order management. Subject to Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy.
  • •Supabase — Database hosting for license and activation records.
  • •Vercel — Website hosting and deployment.

6. Data Storage and Security

  • •License and activation data is stored in a secured database with row-level security policies and encrypted connections.
  • •License keys stored locally on your device are encrypted using AES-256-GCM with a machine-specific derived key.
  • •All communications between the CLI and our servers use HTTPS encryption.

7. Data Retention

  • •License and order data is retained for as long as your license is active, plus 12 months after expiration for support and legal purposes.
  • •Activation records are deleted when a license is revoked or upon your request.
  • •Refunded orders — license data is retained for 30 days after refund for fraud prevention, then deleted.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • ✓Access — Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • ✓Correction — Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • ✓Deletion — Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements).
  • ✓Portability — Request your data in a machine-readable format.

9. Cookies

Our website uses only essential cookies required for the website to function (e.g., session management). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. No cookie consent banner is required as we only use strictly necessary cookies.

10. Children's Privacy

SkillStore is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
